Challenge Cards:

1 v 1+ Stroke Play

In this dynamic game mode, players strategically give and receive Challenge Cards. The objective is simple – successfully pass the challenge to subtract 1 stroke from your score, but be cautious, failure results in adding 1 stroke. Now, here's where the real fun begins! Players who manage to pass 2 Challenge Cards in a row will earn 1 Advantage Card and will continue drawing 1 Advantage Card at the start of each next hole until the player fails their next challenge card. It's a thrilling journey through the course, where strategic thinking and skillful play lead to triumph in Birdie Blitz.

Setup:

  1. Shuffle the deck of Challenge Cards and place them face-down in a stack.

  2. Shuffle the deck of Advantage Cards and place them face-down in a separate stack.

  3. Deal each player three Challenge Cards and one Advantage Card to start the game.

Now, after setting up the game a typical hole consists of the following steps:

Gameplay:

1. Order Phase: On hole 1 flip a tee to decide the turn order. Then on every hole after that, the player with the lowest score on the previous hole goes first and the player with the worst score goes last.

2. Challenge Phase: During this phase, in the respected Player order select a Challenge Card from your hand and give it to one of your opponents. Every player should end up receiving 1 challenge card per hole. Now, the challenge card will contain a specific task or objective that the opponent must attempt to complete on this hole.

  • Remember: Be strategic in choosing challenges that are difficult but not impossible for your opponent to complete.

3. Attempt Phase: After receiving a challenge card from an opponent, it's time to attempt to complete the challenge. The Challenge Card will outline the specific conditions or requirements for success. Utilize your skills, creativity, and if you need to, use an Advantage Card to either overcome the challenge, or hinder your opponent while they attempt to complete their challenge.

  • Remember: Each advantage card can be used at time they make sense but can only be used once.

4. Scoring Phase:  Players score the hole as follows.

  •       If the golfer passes the challenge, they subtract one stroke from their actual score on the hole.

  •       If the golfer fails the challenge, they add one stroke to their actual score on the hole.

5. Discard Phase: Once every player has finished the hole, all players must discard their attempted Challenge Card and any Advantage Cards used on that hole.

6. Draw Phase: At the start of the next hole begin your turn by drawing [1] card from the challenge card stack. This replenishes your hand, providing you with a variety of challenges to choose from. This is also the time to draw [1] card from the advantage card stack if you have successfully passed [2 or more] challenges in a row.

7. From here repeat from the (Challenge Phase)
